Fairy-Dances

I've been delving into the depths of facebook and finding old poetry (oh sad me) and some really nice photography shots from last years cruise trip to Alaska (so many good picture opportunities, and so many missed because sleep). Which is bringing back a huge rush of memories, sometimes a good thing, sometimes not. You know how that stuff goes. February has been looking up, despite the fact that I have mono, and there is a blizzard outside, and I can't go to dance because of both those reasons. But I do have a Valentine, and a concert at the end of the month (those two do not coincide). So I mean, what's not to like? Here's to hoping on tac

I've been working on costumes for PortCon recently, the one that has taken up my day currently is a kimono for my brother, who is going to be a Shinigami Captain from Bleach. I'm nearly done with my Jack Frost, just need a bit more spray paint, and to make the staff. Amy Pond just needs tights and shoes. And Steampunk Hawkeye needs a bow and leggings. And I've been colouring like crazy because I'm bored and really shouldn't because I'm busy with dance, school, and costuming. Oh well, that's life.

I recently just got into ice skating, and it is so amazing! I am not very good, but thankfully I can just grab my (used but new) pair of skates and go to an outdoor rink about ten-fifteen minutes away and just skate to my hearts content. I managed not to fall at all last time I went! And I'm starting on learning how to skate backwards! I have also been sketching like my life depends upon it, and it is quite comical. I drew three different images of Brittany and Santana in one night (the first is still my favorite), and then using a base image from tumblr, I drew a pair of my own original characters (Isabelle and Faye).
